Mariner Explorers is a two-week summer camp for middle school students (6th-8th grade in 2019-2020). Participants will have the opportunity to work with our respected faculty and learn new skills that will be shared with friends and family in a culminating presentation at the Mariner Explorers Expedition Day on the last day of camp.

Mariner Explorers Art Program

Come explore the creative journey and proud heritage of Visual Arts at Moreau Catholic High School. Students will engage in hands-on activities that will develop an understanding and appreciation of Drawing, Painting, Printmaking and Sculpture. The emphasis in the course will be on the creative process.

Mariner Explorers Creative Writing Program

Writing can clarify, persuade, heal, excite, encourage, remind, inspire, and make the world a better place. This course is designed to give students the opportunity to think and write creatively. Together we will read and write poems, short stories, creative non-fiction, speeches, fan fiction, short plays and more!

Students will practice writing and thinking creatively, presenting and performing their work and experimenting with different styles and voices. A fun and challenging class for all levels!

Mariner Explorers Film Appreciation Program

Explore the wonder of film! Students will watch movies and have lively facilitated discussions emphasizing film history, common themes, and why this style of storytelling is important. Students will develop skills to analyze the shared social, cultural and historical influences of films and their contexts.

Mariner Explorers TV Production Program

Welcome to the art of creating film and video. Students will spend their days learning how to shoot, edit, and direct high-quality productions and cap the experience off with a live news broadcast that showcases all of their hard work. No need to bring a camera, we will supply everything.

Mariner Explorers Maker Lab & Robotics Program

In this combined course, students will push the limits of their technological imagination. Learn how to use and play with equipment such as 3D printers, Arduinos, Raspberry Pi, and LilyPads and littleBits in our Maker Lab.

In Robotics, students will learn the fundamentals of robotics engineering and turn their robotic ideas and concepts into reality. They will design and build their own projects, which will be showcased to friends and family on the last day of class.

Mariner Explorers Science Program

Explore science with us! During this nine-day expedition, students will engage in hands-on activities that will challenge them to explain various scientific concepts in biology, anatomy, and chemistry. Students will have the opportunity to work in our innovative zSpace 3-D studio to enhance their laboratory experience.

Mariner Explorers Drama Program

Enter the world of theater by exploring its creative and collaborative nature. Through fun and engaging activities, students will develop lifelong skills of communication, concentration, and imagination as they learn the creative process of theater through pantomime, improvisation and other storytelling techniques. Students will also be introduced to the technical elements of a production, such as costumes and makeup.
