LATEST UPDATES
*AS OF 2/1/21

Once again we are ready to implement our Return to Play Protocol. We currently have competition dates beginning with sports in the purple and red tiers. As we did before, sports will be phased in based on the tiers, MVAL confirmed start dates and campus capacity. Additional competition dates may be added per county guidelines.

Conditioning workouts will begin for some sports prior to the first practice date of March 1st. The conditioning workouts are not mandatory. Coaches have been trained on safety protocols and will contact students athletes who have completed the participation requirements through Appryse. Sport specific information will be communicated by the coaches.

Student-athletes will be in a Cohort of 16 which includes 1-2 coaches. The group will be determined by the coach and will stay together for the weeks leading up to the first practice.  There will be no intermixing with other groups or teams. Once workouts begin, new students will not be added until the first day of practice. As a member of the Cohort students are committing to the health & safety of their Cohort by participating with only one team on or off campus, (see NCS updated guidelines).

Purple tier sports are expected to participate in competition. Red is projected to also play in competition if the county is moved to red. We are anticipating Orange and Yellow tier sports to run 3-week long conditioning programs. Please note, orange and yellow tier sports are not expected to compete in any games at this time.

If you are unsure about what sport is in what tier, please check here

We urge you to register on Appryse as we anticipate our start. Coaches will receive the names of students who have registered & completed participation requirements prior to the first workout.
