Mariners Supporting Future Mariners

Moreau Catholic has long partnered with support schools in the area, especially our fellow Catholic elementary schools. With Covid restrictions eased, our Mariners can again visit with our friends at other schools and continue building on these long-standing relationships.

We hosted fun sports activities for several middle schoolers during their spring break this week. These future Mariners got to play basketball with Coach Knight, lacrosse with Coach McInerney, run drills with Coach Foott, and interact with current Mariners.

On Wednesday, at our Honors at Acceptance event, we honored students admitted to the class of 2026 who have demonstrated excellence in their academic careers so far.

For their capstone project, Erin C. ’22 and Cadence S. ’22 have partnered with our neighbors at Saint Clement. They are setting choreography on several 6th-8th graders, which will be performed in the Spring Dance Concert alongside our current students. They will be busting some sweet moves to Janet Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation.”

In addition to fun activities, our Mariners are also mentoring these younger students with their words of advice. Joseph C. ’23, Matthew V. ’22, Kellen H. ’25, and James B. ’22 visited Saint Clement to talk to the students about responsible decision making and balancing being a scholar and an athlete.

We are proud of the example our students set for future Mariners. They are truly living examples of the Mariner Mindset!
