Introducing Cindy Armijo | Major Gift Officer

It is our pleasure to announce Cynthia Armijo as Moreau Catholic’s new Major Gift Officer in the Advancement Department. This position will play a key role as we prepare to increase our fundraising efforts. Cindy brings with her an extensive background in fundraising.

For over thirty years, Cynthia has worked with non-profit organizations in a volunteer role and as a member of the executive staff. She brings deep understanding as a leader in fundraising management and a perspective building long lasting relationships with key stakeholders.

Her experience enables her to apply the best practices of the corporate world to the non-profit sector in new and better ways where possible. This includes working with boards and staff to help envision the value proposition of their organization and to be able to develop a meaningful development strategy that is collaborative and energized.

Her Non-Profit Executive roles include:

  • Executive Director of East Rock Institute in New Haven, Connecticut
  • Executive Director at Westport Arts Center in Westport CT
  • Executive Director of Boys Town New York in New York, NY
  • Director of National Advocacy for Father Flanagan’s Boys Home, Omaha, NE
  • Chief Executive Officer at YMCA of Norwalk, in Norwalk, CT

Prior to her career move into non-profit management eleven years ago, Armijo was a Senior Consultant at BTS, a management consultancy, where she helped multi-national corporate clients work on strategic planning, leadership development, change management and financial literacy. Her clients included Hewlett Packard, Honeywell, Motorola, Valero Energy, InBev, Nortel Networks, Atlanta Power and Gas. She began her career in financial services with MMS International, a division of Standard & Poors and she has held positions with Franklin Templeton Investments and Wit SoundView Investment Bank.

Cindy holds her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from San Francisco State University. She is a graduate of Mercy High School, San Francisco, where she also served as the Board of Trustees Chair, and attended St. Finn Barr School in San Francisco. She and her husband Tony are excited about their return home to the San Francisco Bay Area.
