PRESIDENT TERRY LEE APPOINTED AS DIRECTOR OF SCHOOL SPONSORSHIP FOR MOREAU PROVINCE
President Terry Lee will leave Moreau Catholic at the end of June to begin his new role
Hayward, CA, September 10, 2020 – Moreau Catholic High School President, Terry Lee, has accepted the position of Director of School Sponsorship for the Moreau Province of the Congregation of Holy Cross, which sponsors Moreau Catholic. After 13 years as president and 22 years at Moreau Catholic, President Lee will begin his new role on July 1, 2021, resigning from his post as president, effective June 30, 2021. He is the first lay person to be appointed to this role, a role in which he will help the Brothers nurture and promote the Holy Cross mission throughout the Moreau Province.
During his tenure at Moreau Catholic, Lee has served as both a teacher and administrator, making him uniquely qualified to carry out this role of supporting the 11 schools within the Moreau Province. He will be pivotal in planning the future of Holy Cross and their educational ministries in North America and in Brazil and East Africa.
Br. Thomas Dziekan, C.S.C., Provincial of the Moreau Province says Lee’s “skill and experience along with his knowledge and understanding of Holy Cross, his effectiveness as a pastoral leader at Moreau Catholic, and his creativity will help advance the educational mission of the Congregation and will be at the service of local educational communities and the Church.”
The Moreau Catholic Board of Trustees is forming a President Search Committee that will be led by Trustee Dorothy McCrea, Ed.D. Dr. McCrea is currently teaching in the Education Leadership Program in the School of Education at Santa Clara University, was the Principal at Mercy High School, San Francisco for twenty one years, and has served in various capacities within Catholic education. Dr. McCrea also serves on the Board’s Mission Integration Committee. The President Search Committee’s will conduct a nationwide search to secure the best candidate possible.
