ISP and the Culture Tree

The MCHS International Student Program (ISP) is currently made up of 52 students ranging from grades 9 through 12. The majority of those students come to Moreau from China and all live with host families during the school year. Though they are a relatively small population of the school, our ISP students make a big impact all around Moreau from classroom to clubs, VAPA to athletics.

Most recently, the ISP Leadership Council came up with a way to symbolize ISP on campus. Rachel Ton ’20, co-president of ISP Leadership Council, is also a member of Earthwise. This crossover inspired the council to buy a bamboo plant to put in Basil’s Garden of Eatin’, aka the Earthwise Garden.

The goal is that this plant can be tended to by future councils as part of their legacy. As the bamboo grows, the students will hang various items to represent the cultural diversity within ISP and at Moreau Catholic in general. All students will be welcome to add to the plant as it continues to grow.
