Are you looking for an athletic summer camp for your child? Moreau offers camps in basketball, football, baseball and volleyball for middle schoolers and well as skills camps for older youth.
Moreau Coach Frank Knight III brings his wealth of experience as a basketball player for St. Mary’s College and a high school coach for 17 years to his co-ed basketball camps. Boys and girls entering grades 2-9 will be divided by age and skill level for his two camps being held on June 18-22 and June 25-29, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A non-contact football camp is a great way to learn basic fundamentals of football in a non-contact environment. This evening camp, being held from July 9-13 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., is for youth in grades 6-9.
Three baseball camps taught by Coach David Castillo are available for the student-athlete to gain knowledge, experience and skills tailored to their individual needs. The camp begins each day in the weight room or on the field on strength training or agility exercises. The latter half of the day consists of defensive and offensive work on the baseball field.
The six-week Elite Skills Camp is for the more experienced athlete, aged 14-17, and is held every Tuesday and Thursday from June 12-July 19 at 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The Instructional Skills Camp is geared toward the athlete who has limited or no knowledge and experience in the weight room. This camp is designed for young players (8th grade to incoming freshmen) who have aspirations of playing high school baseball. The June 12-July 19, six-week camp is held every Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 3:30 p.m.
The All Skills Youth Camp for ages 7-13 includes a three-hour baseball workout on the field. Student-athletes can attend one, two or three sessions, being held Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. Session 1: June 25-29. Session 2: July 2-6. Session 3: July 9-13.
Boys’ and girls’ volleyball camps for grades 6-9 teach campers essential fundamentals and game strategy while having fun learning the game of volleyball. Moreau volleyball Coach Jerico Abanico and his varsity and JV volleyball players work with the campers.
The girls five-day camp is held the week of July 23-27 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and the boys’ camp is from July 16-20, also from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
